DeepDive is an independent educational media company that creates in-depth audio courses for people who want to learn deeply, think critically, and create meaningful work. What We Make

At DeepDive, we believe that the best way to learn is directly from people who’ve already mastered the craft. That’s why every course we produce is built around candid conversations, detailed instruction, and hard-won wisdom from accomplished practitioners.

Our flagship course, How to Write a Novel, is a 50+ hour audio experience that guides you from blank page to finished manuscript. It features instruction from dozens of acclaimed contemporary authors — sharing their processes, their struggles, and their best advice for finishing the book you’ve always wanted to write.

We’ve since expanded our catalog with focused, shorter-form courses, including How to Write Autobiographical Fiction, a deep dive into transforming lived experience into art, taught by celebrated author Hannah Pittard and featuring additional insights from Michael Wheaton, founder of Autofocus Books.

Our Story

DeepDive was founded by Brad Listi, author, longtime literary interviewer, and creator of the critically acclaimed Otherppl podcast. Over more than a decade of conversations with the world’s most celebrated writers, Brad saw a clear need: people weren’t looking for more superficial advice — they were looking for depth.

DeepDive grew out of that mission: to capture the depth and candor of great creative conversations and turn them into structured, comprehensive courses. Courses that don’t just inspire you, but actually teach you how to do the work.
